On October 15, 2020, specialists of the Karkaraly aviation department of the Kazavialesoohrana, together with representatives of the Karkaralinsky State Scientific Research Enterprise, performed joint flights over the protected area in order to monitor compliance with environmental management rules and identify violations of environmental legislation. During the aviation patrol, a steppe fire was discovered on the territory of the state reserve lands. Information about the fire was immediately transmitted to the ground fire fighting forces for fire containment measures.
