On June 29, 2020, a fire was discovered on the territory of the 54th quarter of the Naurzum forestry, the Naurzum GPP. The forces and means of the Kostanay aviation department and the Naurzum GPP were thrown into the fight against the fire element. Thanks to promptly taken measures, the fire was localized over an area of ​​0.6 hectares.
