On August 21, 2019, during aerial patrolling of the territory protected by the Zhambyl Aviation Division, a fire was discovered in the territory of the 87th quarter of the Oyyl Forestry, Akkolsky State University. Information about the fire was immediately transferred to the forest owner. The forces and means of the Zhambyl Aviation Department and Akkol KSU were thrown into the fight against the fire element. The fire was liquidated on an area of ​​150 hectares. In the localization and elimination of the fire was involved: a helicopter and 4 paratrooper-firefighter of the Zhambyl aviation department, 20 people of Akkol KSU, 11 pieces of equipment.
