INFORMATION ABOUT THE MAJOR FIRE OCCURRED ON THE TERRITORY OF ALAKOL KSU

For the fifth day, there is a fight against a major fire that occurred on the territory of the 118th quarter of the Toktinsky forestry of the Alakol KSU. Forces and means of the Department of Emergency Situations, local akimats and forestry institutions, paratroopers-firefighters of the Republican State Enterprise "Kazavialesoohrana" were involved in extinguishing the fire. To extinguish the fire, a first-class Mi-8 helicopter was involved, with the help of which water is discharged from the APU. Fire extinguishing is complicated by hard-to-reach mountainous terrain, poor visibility and difficult meteorological conditions.
