On July 22, 2020, a steppe fire was discovered with a threat to the Akzhar forestry, Kurtinsky KGU. The forces and means of the Bakanas aviation point, the Kurtinsky KGU and the local fire department were thrown into the fight against the fire element. The fire was stopped, the threat to the State Forest Fund was removed. The fire was localized over an area of 8 hectares.
