On April 21, 2020, employees of the Asu-Bulak KSU discovered a fire in the Ulan region. There was a threat of a fire transition to the 188 quarter of the Central Forestry, Asu-Bulak KSU. The forces and means of the Asu-Bulaksky KSU and the Ust-Kamenogorsk aviation branch were immediately pulled to the place of ignition. Extinguishing the fire was complicated by inaccessible terrain and strong gusts of wind. With the help of a first-class helicopter Mi-8, delivery of paratroopers-firefighters was carried out to the place of ignition.
2.6 tons of water were delivered to the place of the fire by helicopter, using the P-1.00 tank. The fire that arose in hard-to-reach areas was localized after several hours of stubborn struggle with the fire element on an area of 15 hectares, the threat to the State Forest Fund was removed. In the localization of the fire was involved: 18 people of the Asu-Bulaksky KSU, Mi-8 helicopter, 9 people of the air-fire service of the Kazavialesoohrana state security and training enterprise, 2 pieces of equipment. After localization, the fire was handed over to the forest owner for parasitization.
