On October 7, 2019, specialists of the Ust-Kamenogorsk aviation branch together with representatives of the environmental police flew over the protected area in order to monitor compliance with the rules of nature management and identify violations of environmental legislation.
During the RAID the fact of violation of the nature protection legislation - illegal production of a red-book type of fish was revealed. All materials on the fact of illegal production of red-book species of fish were transferred to the Department of internal Affairs of Altai to initiate criminal proceedings. On the same day in the territory of the Markakol State Nature Reserve the group illegally being in the territory of the reserve carrying out illegal fishing was detained. To the place of violation the task force of Terektinsky settlement Department of police was delivered. The inspection revealed illegal fishing products, fishing equipment and one unit of unregistered rifled weapons. Thus the group moved on the car belonging to the third person, without having at itself documents on the right of management of a vehicle.
