On September 4, 2019, during the air patrolling of the territory protected by the Karkaraly aviation branch, a steppe fire was discovered with a threat to the 183rd quarter of the Kent Forestry, Karkaraly State Scientific-Production Ground. The forces and means of the Karkaraly aviation branch and the Karkaraly GNPP were thrown into the fight against the fire element. Extinguishing the fire was complicated by strong winds. Thanks to the coordinated actions of the staff of the Kazavialesoohrana state-owned enterprise and the Karkaraly GNPP, the fire was eliminated without damage to the State Forest Fund. In the fire extinguishing were involved: a helicopter and 4 people of the fire service of the Karkaraly aviation branch, 40 people of the Karkaraly GNPP and 11 pieces of equipment.
