On June 3, 2021, a steppe fire was discovered with a threat to the 144th quarter of the Kokterek forestry, Kokterek KSU. The paratroopers-firefighters of the Zhambyl aviation department were the first to arrive at the place of fire, who held back the front of the fire until the arrival of ground forces, the ground forest guards who approached with equipment began to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread.
