THE SEASON OF FIRES STARTED IN ZAILI ALATAU

The season of forest fires has come in the mountains of the Northern Tien Shan, the correspondent of "Khabar 24" reports.

They are usually of natural origin and result from so-called "dry thunderstorms". However, in recent years, some areas in the Zailiyskiy Alatau have begun to be actively developed. In addition, domestic tourism began to gain momentum. Now there are many people in the mountains. And this is already a factor in the occurrence of man-made fires. Therefore, the city's emergency services are now in constant readiness. Exercises were held on the territory of the Ile-Alatau National Park, the purpose of which is to quickly detect and eliminate a fire. The Ile-Alatau National Park is today considered the most visited place in the mountains of the Trans-Ili Alatau. And the area of ​​forests here exceeds 19 thousand hectares. Most of the territory is inaccessible terrain. The terrain is extremely difficult. And some places can only be reached by aviation.

- A fire in the mountains is not only a disaster that causes colossal damage to the environment. This is also a huge problem for emergency services. Similar incidents in the Zailiyskiy Alatau have occurred more than once. For example, putting out one of the fires in the Alma-Arasan gorge took almost a month. Therefore, the main thing here, of course, is prevention.

At today's exercises "Fire-21", it was precisely the close interaction of ground services and aviation that was practiced. According to the scenario, the crew of the patrol aircraft is the first to detect the fire. Kazavialesoohrana monitors the entire mountain system, up to the border with Kyrgyzstan, on a daily basis. When a signal arrives, the city's emergency units and the Rescue Service fighters are alerted. By the way, fires in mountainous areas are assigned the highest difficulty level by default. And then aviation is connected to extinguishing. The helicopter "Kazaviaspas" floods the fire with the help of the onboard APU. The crew of the second vehicle delivers the personnel of the Rescue Service and ROSO to the site. All fighters underwent special training in landing from great heights. Their task is to evacuate people affected by the fire. In total, 210 people, 28 units of specialized equipment and 3 aircraft were involved in the exercises.

- During the exercise, two fires were worked out. One hearth was located in a forest glade, the second - on a hill. The fire was extinguished in the first fire by the forces of the national park, in the second fire a helicopter group of the rescue service of Almaty and Kazaviaspas of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Republic of Kazakhstan was involved. Based on the results of the exercise, the grade can be given "good" The forces and means worked harmoniously.

Since the beginning of May this year, employees of the Emergency Situations Department of Almaty have carried out 34 raids in mountainous areas for preventive purposes. Unfortunately, the guests of the National Park are very active in making fires here. There were 102 such cases. 56 people were fined. It is worth recalling that for such violations in specially protected natural areas, fines of up to one hundred MCI are provided.
