On May 29, 2019 fire and tactical exercises were conducted on the territory of the Mikhailovsky Forestry Institution to eliminate natural fires in the border areas of the Altai Territory of the Russian Federation and East Kazakhstan and Pavlodar regions of the Republic of Kazakhstan. In the course of the exercise, questions were worked out on the interaction and improvement of the actions of the forces and means of fire extinguishing of adjacent territories during the liquidation of transboundary emergency situations.

Also, measures were taken to protect settlements from the effects of wildfires. The exercise was attended by divisions of the Emergencies Ministry of Russia in the Altai Territory, forest fire formations of forest users, the Mikhailovsky municipal unit of the Unified State System for the Prevention and Liquidation of Emergencies of the Russian Federation.

The Republic of Kazakhstan was attended by units of the Emergency Situations Department of Pavlodar and East Kazakhstan regions, representatives of the Semey Ormany State Forest Reserves and Ertis Ormany State Forest Reserves. From the State Enterprise "Kazavialesoukhrana", the commander of the Eastern Aviation Division, Konshu A.V. and inspector LPS Sanarov V.P.
