On April 24, 2021, employees of the Ust-Kamenogorsk aviation department flew over the protected area. During the air patrol in the area of the Bukhtarma reservoir, a steppe fire was discovered with a potential threat to the suburban areas located in that area. Information about the fire was transmitted to ground services to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread.
