On April 23, 2021, employees of the Akmola aviation department flew over the protected area. During the air patrol, a steppe fire was discovered with a threat to the State Forest Fund. Paratroopers-firefighters were brought to the place of the fire with the help of a helicopter to extinguish the fire and prevent its further spread. Thanks to the quickly taken measures, the fire was localized and liquidated on an area of 0.3 hectares, the threat to the State Forest Fund was removed.
