On April 18, 2021, a large steppe fire occurred in the Pavlodar region, which moved to the territory of the RSU GLPR "Ertis Ormany". The forces and resources of the Pavlodar aviation department, the RSU GLPR "Ertis Ormany" and the Emergency Situations Department of the Pavlodar region, as well as voluntary fire brigades were deployed to fight the fire element. Extinguishing the fire was complicated by strong winds (gusts up to 25 m/s).

On April 19, 2021, the fire was localized, and its elimination is currently underway. More than 200 people are involved in extinguishing the fire, including 9 paratroopers-firefighters of the Pavlodar aviation department, more than 50 pieces of equipment. The area of the fire is 1200 hectares, of which 300 hectares are the state forest fund.
